來自本堂神父的主日證道分享：

耶穌被捕的前幾天，祂讓拉匝祿死而復活，還有其它幾個實例，祂治癒了病人並使死者復活，門徒們目睹了其中的大多數的例子，但是我們看到在祂死後，他們不相信祂會從死裡復活，他們一起感到無比的恐懼，並為自己的未來感到疑惑，他們害怕那些將耶穌處死的人，也會殺死他們，他們感到很不安寧。

從死裡復活後，耶穌向他們顯現、安慰並保證祂從死裡復活，祂來給他們希望，並祝他們平安，祂囑咐他們要寬恕罪惡，創造奇蹟並對所有人們友善寬容。

在親身經歷目睹主耶穌的復活之後，門徒們不再害怕，他們按照耶穌的指示去很多不同的地方，幫助人、做好事，於是他們組成了小團體，在人們的家中一起集聚祈禱，他們彼此信賴和熱誠以待，常常在一起吃飯、談話，彼此之間有了更多的了解，我們早期的教會就是這樣形成的。

我們在生活中也透過很多種方式，見證了復活的主耶穌基督，祂在我們的苦難和歡樂中來到我們中間，在聖體聖事中、在聖經中、甚至在我們的日常生活中，祂來到我們當中，都是為了給我們帶來安慰與希望。

在這個令人惶恐的疫情期間，當我們看到整個世界，都在經歷冠狀病毒的不確定性，以及影響我們生活各個方面的骨牌效應時，很容易對天主產生懷疑。我們想知道，為什麼天主不為這個情況做點什麼呢？祂為什麼不馬上終止它呢？祂為什麼不能給世界帶來和平呢？許許多多的問題呈現出來，挑戰我們對主耶穌基督的承諾與信仰，這些心中的疑惑也可能都是門徒們在耶穌被捕並處死時，曾遇到過的相同問題。

平常我們認為理所當然的事，諸如：主日上教堂、登門拜訪親朋好友、逛街購物買菜….等等，但是，在過去一個月裡，這些稀鬆平常的事都發生了變化，我們害怕、懷疑、有時甚至迷失，然而與此同時，就像門徒們一樣，我們都是復活的人，復活的耶穌給了我們希望，即使在這個黑暗的時期，祂仍與我們同在。祂向我們保證，無論有二個人或多個人以上的聚會，祂都會在我們中間。因此，無論何時我們在一起吃飯或在家裡分享彼此的想法時，主耶穌基督都會來到我們中間。不單單只是這樣，現在我們也在自己的家中找到了一個大家庭教會，我們在這裡一起祈禱並且一起擘餅，一起慶祝主耶穌基督的復活聖事。

在天主慈悲主日的今天，讓我們一起向天父祈禱，神聖慈悲的天主可以垂憐眷顧我們，並賜予給我們新的生活。我們通過復活的主耶穌基督這樣地祈禱，尤其是在這個艱難的時刻，求主憐憫、撫慰我們的心。我主耶穌，求祢垂憐，耶穌，我們信賴祢!

我們回到信仰的起點

 來自本堂的話4-11-2020復活節前夕

主內親愛STA的教友及朋友們，

在聖灰節2月26日的彌撒中，我們為受新冠狀病毒感染的中國人民祈禱。當時，這是我們只在新聞中得知的病毒， 4月12日(復活節主日)，我們將慶祝復活節並且為我們自己和家人祈禱，因為那只病毒現在就在我們家門口，誰也料想不到事情發生演變地如此神速，這也提醒了我們，人生無常、世事難料，在我們的生活中隨時可能會發生巨大變化，生命是那麼的脆弱。在過去的幾個星期裡，可怕而合理的問題在我們的腦海中閃過：「天主在生我們的氣嗎？這是世界末日嗎？」 

復活節是充滿希望和復甦活力氣息的。在居家禁足期間，我們有機會花更多的時間與家人在一起。我們彼此相處的時間與耶穌相處的時間一樣獨特。讓我們把希望的信息帶到我們的家中。讓我們相信耶穌，知道上主沒有拋棄我們。

在這個瞬息萬變的時代裡，我們將彌撒帶到了我們的家中，感謝主賜給人類的智慧，通過科技，我們現在不僅可以與聖湯瑪斯堂的教友們一起慶祝彌撒，而且還可以與世界各地的許多朋友一起慶祝。在過去的二個主日，我被告知，親朋好友已經從澳大利亞悉尼，加勒比海的安圭拉，佛羅里達州，瑞士，夏威夷等地登錄了我們的線上直播彌撒。在某種程度上，使我們想起了真正的普世教會。

我們天主教教會最開始源自於一個家庭的聚會，讓我們默想一下—-最後的晚餐，耶穌和他的朋友們在家用餐，我們在宗徒大事錄第二章46-47節中讀到，宗徒他們每天 同 心 合 意 恆 切 的 在 殿 裡 ， 且 在 家 中 擘 餅 ， 存 著 歡 喜 、 誠 實 的 心 用 飯。巧合的是今年疫情的情況，使我們大家回到了信仰的起點，回到了自己的家中。 

我由衷地感謝本堂區所有工作人員在這段困難的時期，繼續與我們的教友保持關懷聯繫，並隨時向他們發送更新本堂教務、堂區禮儀相關的信息。我們還要感謝許多為神父帶來食物的教友們，常常還要確認劉神父和我本人是否安然無恙，感謝你們溫暖的關懷溫馨的愛德。

願天主保佑大家，復活節快樂!

We are Back to the Beginning of our Faith

 4-11-2020 Easter Vigil

Dear STA parishioners and friends,

On Ash Wednesday, February 26th, we prayed for the people in China who were affected by the Coronavirus.  At the time, it was a virus we only read about in the news.  This Sunday, April 12th, we will be celebrating Easter and praying for ourselves as well, because the virus is now at our doorstep.  This fast change of events is a reminder that our lives can change so drastically and that our life is fragile.  In the past few weeks, scary but legitimate questions have flashed through our minds:  Is God mad at us? Is this the end of the world?

Easter is a time of hope and resurrection.  In a time of confinement, we have the opportunity to spend more time with our family members.  The time we spend with each other every day is as unique as the time Jesus spends with us.  Let us bring this message of hope to our home.  Let us put our trust in Jesus and know that God has not abandoned us. 

In this changeling time, we bring the place of worship to our home.  Thank God for the human brain, through technology, we now celebrate Mass not only with our St. Thomas Aquinas Parish, but with many friends located in different parts of the country and the world.  In the past two Sundays, I have been informed that friends and families have logged on to our Mass from as far as Sydney Australia, Anguilla in the Caribbean, Florida, Switzerland, Hawaii, and other places. In a way we are again reminded of the universal Church whom we really are. 

We are a Church that started originally in a home.  Think about the Last Supper. Jesus was at home with his friends.  We read in Acts 2:46-47 that every day the apostles devoted themselves to breaking bread in their homes.  This year, interestingly, the virus situation is bringing us back to the beginning of our faith, to our own homes. 

Much appreciation goes to the parish staff who have continued to reach out to our parishioners during this difficult time, by corresponding with them and sending them our parish liturgy updates.  We also give thanks to the many parishioners who have brought food for Fr. Justin and myself, and also to check on us to make sure that we are alright.  God bless you all and Happy Easter.

從2020年4月6日(星期一) 我們開始進入了聖週，請參閱以下為聖週的時間表：

4月9日(聖週四)，我們將慶祝主晚餐的彌撒(見下頁直播彌撒的時間表)， 在這次彌撒期間，我將邀請大家參加–「教友居家洗足禮」：

在福音之後，我邀請每個家庭花一些時間來洗對方的腳，孩子可以洗父母，兄弟姐妹，祖父母的腳，父母也可以洗孩子的腳，你可以設置不同的洗腳站，以便我們所有人都可以在相對較短的時間內進行洗滌。這是一種祝福，也是一種恩寵之舉，我們將能夠通過簡單而謙卑的方式洗對方的腳來更新彼此的奉獻精神。為了準備好這次儀式，請準備在彌撒中使用，一小盆溫水，洗手盆或足夠大的容器來放腳，並準備乾毛巾用來擦腳。

4月10日(聖週五)耶穌受難日，我們將以潔淨的雙腳參加基督受難記，並與他一同前往十字架，最終獻出他的死。(拜苦路)

◎ 我們將從祈禱十字架的站開始。

◎ 然後，我們將有二個讀經，之後是恭誦「耶穌受難史」，接著有短暫的省察反思。

◎  隨後我們將為我們的需求以及世界其他國家的需求祈禱。

◎ 信友禱詞之後，我們將花一點時間在每個家庭中進行十字架的敬拜，請在家準備一個或多個十字架，供您的家人一起奉獻。此後，我們將進行聖餐的祈禱，然後進行結束禱告。

4月11日(聖週六)復活節守夜彌撒

 我們將在教堂點燃復活節的蠟燭， 我們將聆聽復活宣報。

 其次是三個讀經和福音。 然後是講道， 之後彌撒將如往常進行。

Dear STA Parishioners, 

We started Holy Week on Monday, April 6, 2020.  Please see the following schedule for Masses and Adoration.

On Holy Thursday, April 9, we shall celebrate the Mass of the Lord’s Supper (See Mass and Adoration schedules on the next page).  During this Mass, I will invite all of you to participate in the washing of the feet in your own home.  

After the Gospel and the homily, I will ask every family to take some time to wash each other’s feet.  Children may wash the feet of their parents, siblings, grandparents, and parents can wash the feet of their children and those in their own home. You may set up different feet washing stations so that we can all do the washing in a relatively short time.

This is a blessing and an act of grace where we will be able to renew our dedication to each other by a simple and humbling act of washing the feet of the others.

In order to get ready for this ceremony, please prepare for use during the Mass, a pitcher of warm water, basins, or large containers big enough for you to put in your feet, and some towels to dry your feet.

On Good Friday, April 10^th, with our clean feet, we shall join the Passion of Christ, and journey with him to the ultimate sacrifice of his death on the cross.

• We shall start with praying the Stations of the Cross.
• Then we shall do two readings, followed by the long gospel of the passion.
• After the passion, there will be a short gospel reflection.
• Followed by General intercessions where we will pray for our needs and the needs of others throughout the world.
• After these prayers, we shall take a moment to do the veneration of the Cross, each in our home.  Please prepare a cross or crosses at home for your family to do this devotion together.
• After this we shall have our prayer of Spiritual communion, followed by a closing prayer.

On Saturday, April 11^th, Easter Vigil Mass

We shall have the lighting of the Easter candle at the Church via zoom.

• We will listen to the Exsultet.
• Followed by three readings and the gospel. Then Homily.  
• The rest of the Mass will follow as usual.

After Holy Week, we shall enter the paschal mystery of the resurrection and new life. We shall encounter Jesus who conquered fear and gave us life.  It is through the resurrection that the fear that had overtaken the disciples of Jesus was washed away. In its place, a new church was born.

At a later time, when this virus situation is behind us, and when we are able to return to church, we shall welcome and baptize those who have been preparing to fully participate in the life of the church.

May God continue to bless us during this challenging time.
